This one is short and bitter because I’m not sure this album was my cup of tea. I stayed bored throughout most of the songs. She has a lovely voice—there’s no doubt about that—but I’m not sure I ever connected with what she was trying to say. Not for lack of trying, I listened to the record over five times looking for the connection point.

There’s something here, for sure. While this record might not be the one that got me into Blondshell, I’m confident the sound will continue to mature and refine itself, and somewhere down the line I might find a few songs that really speak to me. I would give it a listen; I think there really is something raw that people will relate to and connect with. I’m going to keep my eye out for this artist in the future.
